La Garonne
Almost a century ago, the Garonne... following its course from the Maladeta massif in Spain all the way to Royan, it shows us in this film its many faces. The different shades of the film take us back to a past for which black and white is not enough, but it seeks to return these landscapes their natural light. The Garonne descends from mountain tops, flows through big cities, grazes vineyards, stretches out in channels. It flows alongside the people who inhabit these places, the winemakers at work, the dockworkers unloading ships, city dwellers crossing bridges, boatmen and bathers on holiday.
