La Fiesta del Pedal
Documentary about a party held by the Veloç Sport Balear, a sports society founded in 1896 in Palma to promote cycling. The Pedal Festival took place in Son Company (Montuiri) in 1915 and in Arenal in 1917; footage of the start of the race from Espanya Square in Palma, the cyclists riding idly through the streets, arrival in Arenal and the cyclists on the road. We see different participants, curious scenes and the arrival of the authorities. Next, we are shown the masses in the church of Our Lady of Breastfeeding in Arenal and Son Company (Montuiri). We are shown a wide shot of the Arenal, racing on the beach and some folk dance. Next, we see people in Son Company enjoying lunch and folk dances; lastly the return of the cyclists to Palma.
