Conradors d'un temps perdut (part 2)

Documentary filmed in Porreres (Mallorca) where we can see the different tasks involving in growing wheat. The mule is made to trample the sheaves in order to mix them and then to beat the sheaves by doing laps with the cart. Working songs are sung. Then the beaten sheaves are thrown in the air with pitchforks so the wind carries the straw away while the grains remain; this is gathered in an elongated heap called serra, which is thrown again in the air with pitchforks; finally, the wheat is cleaned by passing it through a sieve.
